FIERA ROMA… PROUD TO BE ECO-SUSTAINABLE

Renewable energy has landed at the new exhibition center in Rome.
Using new-concept technological solutions, Green Utility SpA has built, in agreement with Fiera Roma and Investimenti SpA, the largest Thin Film photovoltaic system in Italy and one of the largest in the world, covering approximately 38,000 square meters of roofs in the pavilions of the new exhibition center in Rome.

The Rome Exhibition Center (Fiera di Roma) has a photovoltaic system for a total energy of 1.8 million kWh / year, on an area of 38,000 square meters.

In addition to producing 1.8 million kWh / year, for an investment of about 10 million euros, the plant will allow a reduction of CO2 emissions equal to 1,400,000 kg per year, equal to the electricity consumption of about 1,000 families.

This is possible thanks to the use of a particular type of photovoltaic panel known as “THIN FILM” which, thanks to its flexibility and its very low weight compared to traditional photovoltaic panels, has made it possible to create a photovoltaic system perfectly integrated with the innovative architecture of the New Fair.
